Let’s Talk
My Story: A Life Lived from the Inside Out
I could tell you the “school of hard knocks” version—growing up in a Baltimore rowhouse, single child of a single mom, scholarship kid, early marriage, breast cancer at 30, motherhood, and a heavy dose of heartbreak. But these days that story has lost its resonance and feels like chapters from someone else’s book.
The story I’m telling now is more alive. It’s the story of a woman in her late 50s, shedding conventional identities and walking the inner wilderness with humility and a devotion to truth, sovereignty and creative expression.
It’s the story of someone who left conventional success twice—once to found Arts Corps, and again to birth Creative Ground, each time listening to the soul's deeper call.
It’s a story of a quest for integration: between masculine and feminine, intellect and intuition, heartbreak and devotion.
It’s the story of a someone living during the time of what Joanna Macy calls ‘The Great Turning’ who is learning to embody her own song and sing her way home.
And it’s the path of someone who no longer performs leadership, but tends to a coherent, stable field—as a personal practice, a professional offering, and a collective prayer.
I don’t lead with credentials, but yes, I do have them. You can view my CV here and learn more about the impact of my work in the world. I lead with presence, pattern recognition, and a capacity to hold space for real transformation.
If you are ready to expertly navigate your own inner seas, integrate the polarities that pull you out of balance, discover your own inner sovereignty and make such work the foundation of your next chapter of leadership, listen to the call and step into a journey with me.
The essential strengths I serve from …
Vision
I see the potentials in my fellow humans. In a team, in an organization, in the collective. I see what is hidden from view, what’s hiding and wants out. I see innate creative expression. I see a multitude of trajectories. I see the seeds of new life.
Courage
I have traversed my own, sometimes terrifying inner wilderness. I have learned to sit with fear long enough to navigate in the dark without lights. I have stepped off cliffs into the unknown and survived enough times to remember how to find the gold in the darkest of mystery.
Confidence
I will go with you, or your group, to places uncharted without a map. I am confident in our collective intelligence. I am secure in knowing there is no ‘wrong’ way, just more things to learn. I trust the non-linear path to a new vision, a new endeavor, a new you.
Love
I have learned a devotion to love. A love of other people’s tenderness and complexity. A love of ‘what is.’ A love of the hardest truths, the keenest challenges and a love of paradox, for there is great danger in a ‘single story.’ And most of all, a love of what’s possible when we do it together.
